Study Hall Rules
I think that the new study hall rules are ridiculous. It is like being in 2nd grade. No talking, you have to sit facing the front, no sleeping and you have to be working on something. It isn't fair that they change the rules like that. We are not allowed to play games anymore or even socialize. When i was a freshmen, I used to get lunch and bring it up and eat then play board games. Study hall was a time to relax and now they made it into detention. It is unfair to people who have no choice in being in study hall. I for one call for a change.

American Idol
Blake Lewis, Jordin Sparks
This is the first season i have watched American Idol. There are some pretty good contestants. One of my favorite would be Blake Lewis. He is the man. He made it into final 12 and will probably make it into top 10. He is a talented performer and singer. He incorporates his special abilities and skills into the songs he sings. He is a rad beatboxer, and he uses it to his advantage. Its like putting his own personal touch to a song. He is also a really good dancer. What stands out about him though is his voice. He has quite a bit of range, and he is learning to stay on melody. His latest performance from the '60s show gives us a view of his true ability. Another favorite would be Chris Sligh. When i fist saw him i thought he wasn't gonna be a good singer. That was until he nailed Kiss From a Rose by Seal. He surprised a lot of people, and he will keep on doing it. It suprises me that Sanjaya is still on the show. I have a feeling he will not be for much longer. On the female side we have Jordin Sparks. At 17 years old she is one of the top singers i have seen. She has an incredible voice and is an awesome performer. The top dog, in my opinion, this year so far, is former backup singer Melinda Doolittle. She has a powerful voice and wonderful melody. She just might be this years American Idol.
